Parent and Tot is a small class designed for the child and caregiver to begin the preschool experience together. Children attend class with a parent or care provider such as a nanny, grandparent, or relative. Each day will include outside play time, snacks, read-aloud, and songs. Wesleyan Preschool is a play-based program. The focus will be on developmentally appropriate play and social exploration in a nurturing and unhurried setting. Children can explore a rich classroom environment during class with options for open-ended art, sensory, dramatic, block, manipulative, science, and outdoor play. This class allows children to join at their own pace, taking the time they need to feel comfortable in the space. Children will have the chance to learn school routines with the security of having a parent or trusted caregiver present. This class also provides a place for parents and caregivers to connect with one another as they support their children through these early stages of development. The Parent and Tot class is a great way to begin your children's preschool journey in a playful, relaxed, supportive space. (Come play with us!)
